Council For Mathematics Education is a professional and non-profit making organization established in 1991 AD. It works with the views to improve Mathematics Education program throughout the country by making it more practical and relevant to the changing circumstances and necessities. Council for Mathematics Education is working for the professional development of mathematics teachers from school level to university level. It emphasizes on the effective models of Mathematics teaching so as to build a sound base of knowledge and skills of Mathematics in targeted students.

At present Council for mathematics Education has one National Executive committee, Seven Province committee and 57 District committee. It has about 10000 members of different status, specially working in the field of development of mathematics.
At present, council for mathematics education is working in training, seminar, conference to support low progress learners. to stretch the high performers on the basis of mathematics curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment
